We run approximately 15 classes a week for all abilities and sizes of dog. Wherever possible our classes contain dogs of a similar size and grade. Currently we have 3 classes specifically for small dogs, 4 for mediums and the rest are for large dogs. We try to limit class sizes to 7 dogs to 1 instructor. We have both indoor and outdoor facilities. We train on grass from May to September and indoors for the rest of the year, daytime classes train outside for a little longer weather permitting. We favour motivational, reward based training using toys or food.
We have a wide range of members from young children to pensioners. If you just want to have fun and a little exercise with your dog then that’s fine but if you want to win prizes and compete at Crufts we can help you with that too.
Dogs must be at least 10 months old to start training for agility, (older for larger breeds). We have a waiting list for beginners. A few times a year we run tasters which allow us to meet you and your dog and give you a chance to try agility before you commit to a course. The two hour session covers all the equipment and we also suggest exercises to practice with your dog before starting a beginners’ course.
